Abbie K. ('22) competed at the 2020 Dupree Dance Regionals this past weekend. She won a Platinum for her Solo on Friday and a special judges award. Abbie also won 3 more Platinums and 1 Gold for her group dances on Saturday. Good job, Abbie!

Since July 2011, all incoming 7th grade students enrolled in California schools are required to have proof of an adolescent whooping cough booster (called TDap) before starting their 7th grade year. 6th Grade families, please schedule with your pediatrician a time to get this booster before August 15. See below for information about this requirement.

Mrs. Jenna Pohlman is pleased to announce the January MUSE Band Students of the Month for their accomplishments in learning to play their instruments and participate in MUSE Band at Assumption School.

Today the Assumption School community was proud to present to Rose Johnson of the Davis Street Family Resource Center a check for more than $5,500. The money was raised through YOUR support of Assumption’s annual celebration of giving—St. Nick’s Boutique. Upon receiving this donation—a record profit for St. Nick’s!—Ms. Johnson emphasized how important it is for the 60 low-income preschoolers who depend on the event to receive a hot breakfast year-round at Davis Street.

Assumption School is proud to support this key program for the community while teaching our kids the power of giving and, in the process, the true spirit of Christmas. Thank you, Assumption School—and Davis Street thanks you, too!

Eyu M. ('16), Aaron A. ('16), and Ryzon N. ('16) played basketball representing Assumption School since 2nd grade. They continued to work hard every year to be selected to play for Bishop O’Dowd High School for four years in the freshman team, JV, and currently on Varsity. Our Alum families and Assumption School are so proud of the hard work they have put in to bring the Dragons success in basketball. They are being celebrated on their Senior Night on Feb 12, 2020 at 7pm. Congratulations to these hardworking and wonderful men! The 52-Card Draw is coming to the Bootlegger Ball! Want to win a trip to Mexico? What about a VIP Warriors Game experience for March 12th? Maybe a getaway package to wine country is more your style? With the 52-Card Draw, you will have a 1 in 52 chance to pick the live auction item of your choice! Cards are $100 each and will only be sold during the silent auction this year. The draw will be the first event of the live auction, so make sure to find the 52-Card Draw Gals early in the evening to purchase your card(s).

Attached are the 2020-2021 preliminary school dates including first day of school, last day of school, and other major breaks that might help you plan your family's year. Please note additional holidays and events continue to be added and a final calendar will be ready in August.

All families are welcome for this informative parent information night to talk about how to have the "talk" with your child. February 27 at 7 p.m. in the Small Hall. Childcare is provided. Free dress passes for students whose parents attend.

Perfect gift for grandparents, aunts and uncles! Thank you, Birthday, Easter, or Class Valentine Cards. Students will create an art piece in class and this fundraiser turns it into an awesome greeting card. Past themes have included first Communion, Missions, Graduation Thank You cards, self portraits. Collect each year and have a complete TK - 8th grade set! Don't leave out a year. It is fun!
