March 13 9:10 a.m. Update on COVID-19

Assumption School Community-

Thank you for your continued support and dialogue regarding the recent concerns about the impact of COVID-19 virus as it continues to escalate even by the hour. We are engaging with the Department of Catholic Schools in partnership with the Alameda County Public Health Department (ACPHD). Working with these partners, we are using the most up-to-date and accurate information we can to inform the decision making that impacts our families. Please check your email for a detailed outline of scenarios that has been sent to your inbox this morning at 9:10 am, and I will also be sending an updated email at 3 p.m. today for families as this situation is fluid. I appreciate your patience and trust as we all navigate through this crisis.

"Lemon Up" and learn about Girls Scouts March 13

If your family is interested in joining Girl Scouts, please attend a special Girl Scout "Lemon Up" event on Friday, March 13 at St. John's School, San Lorenzo, 6:00-7:30pm. This special information night, for parents and their daughters in Grades K-5, will focus on the wide variety of Girl Scout activities and programs available in our area.

Mr. D's Sports Zone is back!

Mr. D’s Sports Zone is back and better than ever! We’ve got grass, a beautiful parking lot and the gym to utilize. Sports, arts and crafts, movies and more. Don’t forget our famous snack shack. The camp runs from June 15ththough July 31st. Everyone is welcome. Come join us for our 15thsummer at Assumption School.

Drama Club's presentation of "The Wizard of Oz" postponed to a later date.

We are very sad to let you know that our wonderful Wizard of Oz show will be postponed. There is direction from the Oakland Diocese to reschedule non-mandatory social gatherings, and we do fall into that category.

This is not a cancellation, and perhaps a good opportunity for additional rehearsal and a two show run. The reschedule date will be coming soon.

We will be in touch soon with a new show date(s). Thank you to all the Drama Club, students, parents, and helpers for being so understanding of these changes.
