Our 6th graders recently embarked on an unforgettable journey to Caritas Creek, an outdoor ministry nestled among the towering redwoods of Occidental. Teaming up with students from Our Lady of Grace, our 31 adventurers immersed themselves in nature hikes, creekside explorations, and even a thrilling night hike. A special highlight was their trip to the beach, where they worked together to remove invasive plants, learning firsthand about environmental stewardship.
Guided by Ms. Campbell and four dedicated parent chaperones, the students embraced both the peace of the forest and the excitement of new experiences. Their community spirit shone through as they took on challenges, from joining the “Banana Slug Club” to tracking food waste at meals. We are incredibly proud of their willingness to grow as leaders and stewards of our world. Though we missed them, we are thrilled to see them return with fresh insights and stronger bonds!
