The 8th grade arrived early at Assumption School leaving the campus at 7 a.m. on the chartered Bishop O'Dowd school bus to the California State Capitol in Sacramento. They experienced an engaging and educational tour focused on state government, history, and architecture. The visit included a guided tour of the Capitol building, where students can explore the impressive rotunda, see historic legislative chambers, and learn about California’s political system. They also visited the entrace to the governor’s office area, featuring the famous golden bear statue, and view portraits of past governors.
