As a four decade Oakland Diocese CYO Administrator, I am proud to invite you to our CYO Night where we will recognize and honor Bill Ford, the outgoing Oakland Diocese CYO Director of Athletics and Scouting. Bill has selflessly served the Diocese for the past 47 years.
We are celebrating this special night on February 20th as the Dons host the Pacific Tigers at 7:00 pm. We tip off the night with Olaf Pollard, Oakland Diocese legendary coach and leader, singing the Star Spangled Banner. During the game, we will honor Bill with an on-court recognition.
I hope you can join us and will share this information with your coaches and encourage them to attend. This could be a great end of year experience for your teams and certainly would warm Bill’s heart to see our Diocese out in appreciation of his lifetime work of service to this important Catholic Ministry!
As an added benefit for your students, I will offer a motivational pregame speech on “The Winning Edge and the True Perspective of Sports” at 6:00 pm in the Harney Science Center, Room 136, at 2449 Golden Gate Avenue. All attendees are welcome to attend.
