M.U.S.E. Winter Concert - Come one, come all!

Experience the power of music at an upcoming Muse event! These events not only support current students but also inspire future musicians to discover their passion. Attending performances beyond school settings helps strengthen the program and brings communities together through the joy of music.

It’s also a great opportunity for families to see firsthand what Muse has to offer. Whether you’re already part of the program or simply curious, all are welcome to attend and celebrate the incredible talent on display.

Here are the details:   Date: Sunday, February 23 Concert Starting Time: 1:00 (Please arrive no later than 12:30 for set up) Location: Bishop O'Dowd High School 9500 Stearns Ave. Oakland   We will be performing in the theater which is located to the right just as you come in to the gates/parking lot. Plan ahead so you can find a parking place.   Important! Bring a music stand if you have one(suggest put name on music stand) We will have music stands as well but not enough for 80 students so it's important to bring one if you can.   Bring instrument, book, and any sheet music you have.   We are asking for some parent help at the end of concert to put away chairs .   There will be 80 students on stage including the Bishop O'Dowd Concert Band. It is important to arrive no later than 12:30 so we have time to situate students on stage and be ready to play by 1:00.   Enter Theater Directions   When you arrive, please come into the theater and take a seat. Have your child take their instrument out of their case and set up their instrument(except drummers who should bring their instrument in their case down to stage when asked to do so)   Please refrain from playing instrument until we get everyone up on stage.   We will call down students to stage by instrument   Parents keep cases and students bring their instrument, music, and music stand down to stage when called.   The concert will last about 30-40 minutes   Music   If students are unsure of what songs they are playing, here is the list: Beginning Band Students: Hot Cross Buns Rock Out!
