Don't miss the 2025 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Oratorical Festival and Poetry Slam! This annual event honors Dr. King’s legacy of peace, equality, and social justice and will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Marina Community Center (15301 Wicks Blvd.).
The Oratorical Festival and Poetry Slam will feature San Leandro students in grades 3 through 12 performing original or well-known essays, speeches, and poems inspired by Dr. King’s powerful message.
This event is free and open to the entire community. Come support local talent and celebrate Dr. King’s enduring message of hope and social change.
