Progress Reports go home today and Goal Setting Continues

Trimester 1 Progress Reports for grades K through 8 will be provided by your teacher today.  All progress reports should be signed and returned by tomorrow. At your conference, teachers will provide the STAR Benchmark Assessment which is the first of four assessments throughout the year and for grades 4 - 8, the log on instructions for Powerschool so you can check student progress. Teachers update Powerschool at least every two weeks.

This short check-in (15 minutes) allows parents and teachers (and students if in Grades 3 - 8) to create a game plan for the rest of the school year for student success academically, socially, and behaviorally. Please honor the scheduled time and if you are late for your conference, a time will be rescheduled based on the available times or scheduled later in the month.

  • Tuesday through Friday are minimum days.
  • In 3rd through 8th grades, your STUDENT comes with you as an important member of their learning team.
  • In TK - 2nd Grades, only parents and teachers meet.
  • For Junior High families, only sign up for your homeroom teacher conference.
  • Specialty teachers offer conference times if there is a need, contact those teachers directly.
  • Junior high teachers Mr. Silvestri, Mrs. Bass, and Mr. DelCastillo are unable to conference outside of their homeroom students during this time. Parents can contact these teachers for a conference time if needed AFTER October 11.
  • Parent Teacher Conferences are located in the teacher’s classroom unless otherwise indicated.
  • Please do not ask for times outside the conference days presented as this time is dedicated and contracted time provided by the teachers and school.
  • Conferences are tightly scheduled. Teachers will have calendars available if you have a need beyond the goal setting agenda.

Some questions you can think about before your student's conference:

1. What are my child's strengths, both academically and personally, that I have observed at home?

2. What challenges or concerns do I have about my child's academic, social, or emotional growth?

3. How does my child feel about school? Are they engaged or motivated with their studies?

4. In what ways do I support my child's learning at home, and what challenges do I face in doing so?

5. What are my hopes or goals for my child's growth this year and what are three goals I can work on at home to support this growth?

We cannot wait to partner with you in your child’s education!
