Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

Dear Family and Friends.........no doubt many of you are aware that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. For me this is so deeply personal. It has been nearly 25 years that I have been speaking out about the scourge of breast cancer and raising funds to put an end to it as a killing disease. Up till the time cancer took her in late 2005, Marnelle was so brave and courageous to speak out and raise funds for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk as well. I simply don't want to see or hear about one more woman (or man) dying from breast cancer. We have lost far too many beautiful women already. In 25 years a great number of advances have been made in the treatment of breast cancer. Especially, it need not be a death sentence if detected early. So many new therapies have been discovered and are being used to bring lasting cures to women. Early detection and education about breast cancer is very much prevalent and important today. Still more work is needed.

That is why I will be raising funds and joining again this year in the annual MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER walk at the Marina Green in San Francisco on October 6. I will be joined by family and friends from the Assumption Community and thousands of other walkers to make Strides.

Please click on this link, http://main.acsevents.org/goto/DenisDucey, to read more about my story. I know if Marnelle could be, she would be walking with me. Instead, she will be smiling down. Please, if you would, consider a donation towards MSABC. EVERY dollar raised goes directly to research to find lasting cures, the latest therapies to bring full recovery to patients, support programs for patients and their families, and educational endeavors to prevent breast cancer and to stop all cancers in their tracks.

Thank you,
Denis
