In the spirit of this occasion and guided by the tenets of the Corporal Works of Mercy, we are excited to announce our "Brown Bag Outreach" for September. This month, we will be reaching out to the shut-ins and elderly members of our community through heartfelt handwritten cards. Our goal is to bring a little sunshine into their lives by letting them know that they are cherished and remembered.
How You Can Contribute:
- Write a Card: Take a moment to craft a thoughtful message that acknowledges their importance and expresses gratitude for their presence in our lives. Your words can bring comfort, joy, and a sense of connection to those who might be feeling isolated.
- Decorate with Love: Feel free to include drawings, decorations, or anything that adds a personal touch to your cards. Your creativity will undoubtedly brighten their day.
- Drop-off Details: Place your completed cards in the designated "Brown Bag Outreach" basket at the church's History Room by September 24. We will offer them up for a blessing on September 24 during the offertory at all weekend masses. We will ensure that the cards are collected and distributed to the intended recipients.
- Spread the Word: Encourage fellow parishioners, friends, and family members to participate in this heartwarming initiative. The more cards we send, the wider our reach of love and compassion.
