Members from Assumption's St. Vincent de Paul conference will be on hand after all masses this weekend to pass out bags for our Easter Food drive. This is one effort on behalf of the entire parish to share our Good News of Easter and the food from our bounty with those who have far less than we do. The bags will have a list attached noting the desired items. We ask that NO items with expired dates, as well as glass items be included.
Father John and the SVDP Conference are requesting that you bring your filled bag with you if you are attending one of the three masses on Easter Sunday morning. All those with their bags will be invited at the offertory time of the mass to bring them forward and place them in front of Mary's altar. This gesture will be one sign that we desire to share Easter joy with those in our community who are food insecure.
Please note: for those who have bags to donate AND WILL NOT BE ATTENDING ONE OF THE THREE MASSES ON EASTER SUNDAY, you may bring them to church either prior or after Easter and place them in the history room to the right of the Church entrance. Thank you and God bless all Assumption parishioners.
