Assumption Parish finishes St. Vincent de Paul Food Drive

The Holiday Food Drives is wrapping up.

Bring your bags of groceries back to the church and place them in our History Room. Vincentians and AYSAT will be moving all bags to the Ministry Center THIS SUNDAY to prepare the boxes of food for distribution to our neighbors in need. SVDP continues to request gift cards from Safeway, Grocery Outlet, Luckys, Target, and Food Maxx.

The St. Vincent de Paul Society's mission is to promote its members to grow in holiness and friendship while serving the poor. No need is foreign to the Society. The local parish group of the Society, known as a conference, serves those in need in their own parish as well as those in surrounding areas. Bringing food to those who lack; assisting neighbors with past due bills such as water, electric and rent; and offering comfort and prayer are some of the central missions of the Society. The work of Assumption's SVDP is made possible through the generosity of parishioners' donations of food items and financial offerings in the 5th Sunday collections. All adult parishioners are invited to join.
