Congratulations To Our First Communicants and Confirmandi

We extend our support to the young children, teens, and young adults of our Assumption Parish Family who have received the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Congratulations to Our First Communicants!
Last weekend, 24 of our parish youngsters celebrated their First Holy Communion. We welcome and congratulate them! May they always cherish the gift of the Bread of Life to feed every hunger and thirst of their souls and spirits throughout their journeys of faith and life.

We also extend our sincere thanks to our Catechists, teachers, our Youth Ministry & Formation Director, Mary Schirmer; and the parents, godparents, relatives, and friends who have inspired and helped our First Communicants in achieving this important step in their initiation into the Body of Christ and His sacramental mysteries. Thank you Fr. Leonard and
Fr. Chris for celebrating this liturgy. And gratitude to Mr. Vaughan for providing the beautiful music.

Congratulations to 18 of our Assumption community young adults for receiving their Confirmation yesterday!
They received their Sacrament of Confirmation from Very Reverend Lawrence C. D’Anjou, Vicar General on the Eve of Pentecost. May the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit be unleashed in all their fullness to kindle in each of their hearts the fire of God’s love to enable them to be bold and faithful witnesses to the presence and action of God in their lives. May each one embrace the call to be servant disciples who live their faith out in all that they do and say each day.

The Confirmation Rite ceremony was indeed a special and spiritual experience. We wish you all the best as you continue to grow in the faith. We are extremely proud of all Confirmandi, sponsors, and parents. We extend a sincere thank you to Mary Schirmer and her Faith Formation Team, Catechists, and parents for their hard work, dedication, patience, and commitment to the program. We all enjoyed being part of your student’s growth in the faith.

We ask for our entire parish family’s prayers so that the Holy Spirit continues to guide and inspire them throughout their walks with Christ.
Lord, we pray for all those who journey to you. Strengthen their faith and deepen their trust in you. Open their hearts to the fullness of your wondrous love and hold each one close to your heart. Deepen their understanding and set their hearts afire for the work of your kingdom. We ask this through Jesus who is the Way, the Truth, and the life for all.
AMEN
