Assumption Catholic School 8th graders Class of 2020 got a special visit from the staff and faculty on Sunday, May 24, to honor and celebrate their upcoming graduation. "This is not a normal year, so we wanted to help our graduates feel special in this unique time," Principal Lana Rocheford said. All 33 graduates will be visited by their teachers past and present, office staff, and Mrs. Rocheford by this Wednesday. With each visit, the grads got their gowns, a grad sign for their homes, and a physically distant warm smile behind their masks. On June 3, 8th graders will participate in a pre-recorded Drive-In Graduation Ceremony at the school. Due to Shelter In Place restrictions, this invitation only event will be live-streamed and is only open to the 33 graduates' immediate families. More details about seeing this live-streamed event will be coming.
