School Board's efforts to support families in March with a COVID Relief Fund was able to collect in donations $1,050 in support. This money combined with the generous contribution from PTG of $3,100, an amount previously committed to field trips reallocated to this fund. Thank you to our families and PTG Board.
In the Spring, we received and honored requests totaling $2,089.
As we look into the new school year, we ask families and friends of Assumption School to see if they can provide a donation to increase our COVID 19 Tuition Assistance Fund. Should you be able to donate, please send your contributions via personal check by mail to Assumption School or through our website here.
The School Board will continue to send out communications as donations are received and provide regular updates on how money is supporting our families in need.
If you would like to request assistance, we have created an application for COVID-19 temporary relief for the 2020-2021 school year. You can request and submit applications via email to Mrs. Rocheford, principal. Mrs. Rocheford will make recommendations for approval of the amount of aid per family, with application names withheld, to the Finance Committee of the School Board for final approval.
We cannot anticipate how long this pandemic will last; however, we want to be well prepared to ensure we keep families supported. We understand this is a challenging time and your support will go a long way to help us all get past this trying time.
We can all agree that it is the community that makes Assumption School the amazing place that it is and such a valued place for our children. It is in difficult times that communities like ours show their strength, and it is in this spirit that we are reaching out. We cannot emphasize enough how much we value each and everyone of you and all the love and support you have shown throughout the years. We will get through this difficult time and will be back to normal soon.
