April 7, 2020 Update School Long Term Dismissal

Dear Families,

As per the announcement last week by Gov. Newsom, schools in the state of California have been told to continue their Long Term Dismissals and Distance Learning Programs until the end of the 2019 - 2020 school year. While last week's Assumption School communication alluded to this update, we have been provided the official word from our Oakland Diocese Superintendent. Our physical school will be closed until the end of the school year.

At the end of the school day, Wednesday, April 8, 2020, students will begin their Easter Break. Assumption School will return to providing Distance Learning plans on April 20, 2020.  Throughout this LTD, Assumption School will continue to work to provide, reevaluate, and strengthen our Distance Learning plans for families until the last day of school June 10, 2020.

There are many questions regarding what the next months will look like as we prepare to end our school year. Please note that the Assumption community continues to prepare and plan to provide answers and dialogue.

Thank you for your partnership and your love of your children.

Sincerely,

Lana Rocheford
Principal
